World @ Noon: Sory Diabate

Sory Diabate is a teacher, dancer and balafola from Guinea, West Africa. He is f founding member of the Guinean national circus troupe Circus Baobab and the France-based performance ensemble Wamali.

Diabate has conducted several world tours and has recorded and collaborated with such renowned Mande artists as Momo Wandel Soumah, Sayon Bamba Camara, Mandingue Foly, and the Merveilles de Guinée. He will be performing with the York University Mande Music Association, showcasing his unique talent and virtuosity.
