Urban Asia Lecture Series - Denouncing Party Politics in Karachi

In her talk, 'Socialities of Indignation: Denouncing Party Politics in Karachi, Pakistan,' Professor Tania Ahmad will discuss a form of politics stemming from non-participation and domestic confinement.

Ahmad is an anthropologist of urban public culture, social stratification and gender in South Asian and Muslim societies. She is interested in Karachi's emergent middle-class, class distinctions and political violence.

This is the second talk in the 2012-2013 Urban Asia Lecture Series.
