Lips Together, Teeth Apart
Nov 14, 2012 to Nov 17, 2012, 8-10PM
Vanier College Productions will present it's latest production – Lips Together, Teeth Apart by Terrence McNally. On the elegant deck of a beach house on Fire Island, a brother and sister and their respective spouses attempt to celebrate the Fourth of July with a gnawing uncertainty that makes their affluent habits and petty prejudices sizzle in the summer sun. In this unforgettable comedy, McNally does for the beach house what Chekhov did for the Russian country estate.
"McNally's wit and wild comedy invariably score, and his darker intentions resonate, making Lips Together one of his most accomplished plays," reported the New York Daily News. "Terrence McNally's fascinating and ultimately quite touching new play seems to be built from Chekhovian blueprints."
The production is directed by Mike “Nug” Nahrgang and assistant directed by Alannah Garrett. It will run at 8pm, from Nov. 14 to 17, at the Fred Thury Studio Theatre, 258 Vanier College, Keele campus. Tickets cost $12 for students (with Student ID) and $20 for adults.
