Derek Chezzi, editor-in-chief, Yahoo! Canada

Derek Chezzi got his start as the editor of Excalibur. He is currently the editor-in-chief at Yahoo! Canada. He has worked in digital media for more than 12 years. In his role at Yahoo! Canada, he has helped shepherd his company through its transformation from an exclusive aggregator of content to one that creates some of the most popular blogs and video programs on the Web. 

Chezzi will reflect on his experiences navigating the news industry as he moved from being the editor-in-chief of Excalibur as an undergrad, to becoming editor-in-chief of Yahoo! Canada. Chezzi will also consider these experiences in the context of a shifting news industry as it crosses the new digital media frontier.
