Okay, this was a bit of a trick question and you're not wrong. Finding content on your topic may be difficult on the publicly accessible WWW, but this can also be challenging on the subscription accessible WWW. Research, by its very nature, is often very challenging. Remember, there is help available at the Reference/Research desks in all of York University's Libraries. A particular challenge with using publicly accessible content for scholarly research is that there is frequently no initial filter for quality control, so you have to be very critical when assessing any information you find. Of course, any information used for scholarly purposes should be assessed critically. We will be discussing critical assessment in more detail later in this tutorial.
