Authoritativeness and Accuracy cont'd...

What do others think about the page?  What types of sites are linking to the page?

It is possible to see who links to a particular webpage. In Google, perform the following search:

link:<URL of the page>

For example, to see who is linking to the York University Libraries' homepage (http://www.library.yorku.ca), run the following search in Google (include no spaces):

Question: Can you infer anything about this site based upon who is linking to it:  HEAL: Health Education AIDS Liaison, Toronto [opens in a new window]?

• the information should not be trusted under any circumstances
   
• it proposes an alternative or dissident view of the relationship between HIV and AIDS
   
• it is extremely popular
