Reception and Performance:

Monday Nov 23rd, 6 9 PM

As a collaborative performance installation that blurs disciplinary boundaries, these THESES examines the multitude of ways in which technology intercedes the body's capacity to interface with its environment, and also proposes the body as an increasingly obsolete technology. Using digital, analog slide and overhead projections of still, moving and text-based images, combined with structured improvisation against a sparse soundscape, the exhibition examines the plethora of ways in which technology mediates, displaces, and translates how the body experiences and remembers. The performance will take place on the evening of the opening reception, November 23.

The artists wish to thank the Department of Dance and the Department of Visual Arts at York University, as well as Maggie Flynn. This exhibition was
