On-campus accommodation
The Pond Road residence opened in September 2004. This building features two-bedroom suites which share an ensuite kitchen and bathroom. Please note that cooking supplies and utensils are not provided. It is next to the conference venue -- The Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) Building which is equipped with state-of-the-art instructional technologies.
Single Room ($65/night plus 7% GST and 5% PST) = $72.80* per night
Guests share an ensuite kitchen and bathroom. If you know the name of a delegate whom you would like to share a suite with, please provide their name, all efforts will be made to accommodate this request. The other person should also provide your name on their form.
Private Suite ($80/night plus 7% GST and 5% PST) = $89.60* per night. The private suite is based on sole occupancy of the suite.

Please note final date/time of check-out is May 19 at 11 am. You can bring your suitcases to the conference venue or leave them at YCAR at 270 York Lanes.
Off-campus accommodation
The conference organizers have also made arrangements to block some rooms at Holiday Inn Express at Toronto Midtown and North York.

Holiday Inn Toronto Midtown is next to St. George Subway that you can take
to go northbound to Downsview Station. Train ride costs $2.75 and takes about 20
minutes from St. George to Downsview (Please have exact change ready to deposit
into the vending machine or prepare $10 for 4 tokens equivalent to 2 return
trips from St. George to York U).
From Downsview Station, take Rocket Bus
196 to go to York University.
You don't need to get a transfer ticket as the
train connects to the bus station. Bus ride takes about 10 minutes from Downsview to York.
Get off at York Lanes and cross the university pond and pass
through the Centre for Film and Theater. TEL/Pond Road Residence are next to
this building.

Holiday Inn Norfinch is about 5 minutes away by taxi from York University.
Taxi costs about $10-15. You can also take Bus 36 from Finch and get off at
Sentinel Road to transfer to Bus 106 which goes directly to York. You can get
off at Pond Road which is the first bus stop after Sentinel (Pond Road Residence
is the first building to the east and next to it is TEL Bldg). Bus costs $2.75
which is good for 2 hours straight travel (Have exact amount ready as bus
drivers do not give change). Please request for a transfer ticket
upon boarding the bus. From Sentinel/Finch, you can also take a 15-minute walk
to York University via The Village Townhomes. Pond Road Residence is at the end
of Sentinel Road and next to it is TEL.

Travelling from the United States
A passport is the ideal identification for United States residents. Citizens born in the U.S can show a birth certificate, certificate of citizenship or naturalisation, plus photo identification. Permanent residents of the U.S. who are not citizens need to bring their U.S. Permanent Resident Card ("green card").
Travelling from other countries
Travellers from countries other than the U.S. may require a "Temporary Resident" visa (includes short-term visitors) to enter or transit Canada. The Canadian visa application information can be found on the Citizenship and Immigration Canada website.
