Vivienne Poy Asian Research Award Launch

October 2, 2007

YCAR wishes to thank everyone who was able to join us in welcoming Canadian Senator Vivienne Poy to York University on Tuesday, October 2. She was our guest of honour and launched an award in her name, the Vivienne Poy Asian Research Award, which will be given annually to a deserving YCAR Associate and GDAS student intending to conduct research in Asia.

A special thank you to the planning committee, especially Claire Horowitz and her team at the York University Foundation, as well as Lia Novario (VPRI's office) for making the event a success.

The event was profiled in Y-File -- please click here to read the story.
