Graduate students are central to the life of YCISS and the centre provides a professional home to a number of PhD students, complete with offices and administrative support services. YCISS is also home to several faculty members from various departments in the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies (LA & PS) and the Centre provides grant application and administrative assistance with their work.
Most of the funding available through YCISS is for graduate students but the SDF National and International Conference Funds are open to qualifying junior faculty.
York also provides research services for faculty members, promotes a sustainable research environment, and communicates the results and impact of York's research. For more details on Research at York please Click here
Additional resources for advice and information for York Faculty members are the faculty based Research Officers, the Office of Research Services and the Research Officer, VPRI. Graduate students can contact the Research Officer at the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Information on external and other funding opportunities is also available on-line through COS Funding Opportunities
For further details on the funding opportunities available to YCISS members, please consult the YCISS Centre Coordinator in the first instance Click here.
