The funding that YCISS receives from the Security and Defence Forum (SDF) allows the centre to hold conferences, seminars, and workshops as well as to publish papers and books and to provide funding to graduate students and junior faculty. The YCISS program of activities and research is coordinated by Chris Hendershot, Assistant Director of SDF Programming.

Security and Defence Forum (SDF) Award Notices and Application Forms
The Special Projects portion of the Security and Defence Forum is designed to provide modest funding for projects which assist in the development of a competence in security and defence issues. This fund is normally provided to individuals or institutions for the funding of conferences, seminars, individual research projects and papers.
