Red and White Day - Show your York spirit!

President & Vice-Chancellor Mamdouh Shoukri has issued this invitation  to the York community:

We are a community with a spirit that is second to none. So let’s show the world how great York is by wearing red, white, or York gear on Wednesday, Nov. 16.

There will be prizes!

The Red and White Day Prize Patrol will be visiting both Keele and Glendon campuses during the day. If you are seen wearing Red, White or York University gear, you could be a lucky winner!

I also invite you to join me at the spirit rally at noon at the Student Centre to celebrate our athletes and watch the debut of the York University Lip Dub that has been created by the York Federation of Students.

The York University Bookstore will be selling York University fair trade t-shirts at half price in Vari Hall between 10am and 2pm on Nov. 14 and 15. On Nov. 16, the Keele and Glendon bookstores will take 20 per cent off on all red and white clothing and giftware – excluding diploma frames.

Show your spirit! I am asking community members to share their photos of their classes, departments, units and friends that have taken up the challenge. Please send your photos to president@yorku.ca and they will be included on my website.

You are also invited to come and cheer our York Lions varsity sports teams!
