York University issued the following statement yesterday:
On the morning of Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006, Peel Regional Police executed a search warrant on campus. As a result, Nicholas Pengelley, a librarian at our institution, was arrested. This search warrant was restricted to Mr. Pengelley’s office only. Effective immediately, Mr. Pengelley is on a leave of absence.
