It includes a broad range of issues that fall within the scope of government policy and decision making to determine present and future objectives pertaining to the health care system. Health systems, policy, services, financing, economic and political, management, regulation, technologies, and professions and professional organizations are included. Health informatics, a rapidly growing discipline, links the health/medical fields to modern information technologies, and is closely linked to health governance and management.
