ADO/YIHR Collaboration: Aging Into a disability vs. Aging With a disability

The aim of this research is to help alleviate the lack of knowledge about Ontario’s aging disability and senior populations and to contribute to the conversation on how best to respond to the potential aging “crisis”. Funds were received from York’ Knowledge Mobilization unit to develop a scope document for the ADO (Ministry of Community and Social Services), and YIHR’s post doctoral fellow completed a literature review on “Chronological Aging”. A proposal to complete an Interjurisdictional Environmental Scan was successful, and the contract to complete this work was awarded. Further proposals for additional work will be submitted to the ADO.
