It's late summer, you're getting that back-to-school feeling but you

you're a university student now and it's a whole new thing. What do
you do? Why, get oriented, of course. 
New service offers concise answers to students'
questions
The Registrar's Office and Student Financial Services have introduced
a new, 24/7 online service for current students. It's called
"Ask a Student Services Expert". A first for a Canadian university.

alum reports Air France crash on first day at CBC
Few people can say they had as
exciting a first day on the job as York alumnus Nick Czernkovich (BSc
‘03), CBC Television’s newest on-air weather expert. The
trained meteorologist found himself thrown into frontline journalism
by appearing on camera after the Air France crash at Pearson International. 
York community’s blood donations benefit
360 people
The York Community showed how much it cares July 20-22 with a strong
turnout for a summer blood drive event organized by Health Education
and Promotion @ York and hosted by Canadian Blood Services. Students,
staff and faculty rolled up their sleeves and donated 120 units of
blood.
