Renew your TTC Metropass online until Nov. 20

York University faculty, staff and students can renew their December TTC Metropasses online from today until Nov. 20.

At $87 the cost is a discounted rate of 12 per cent. To be eligible to renew your TTC Metropass online, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You must be a current student, staff or faculty member of York University.
  • You must have purchased a TTC Metropass in person through the Parking & Transportation Office and provided the appropriate identification within the 2005-2006 academic year.
  • Payment must be online using a Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit card.

Faculty, staff and students who use the online service can pick up their December TTC Metropasses from Parking & Transportation Services, located in Room 222, The William Small Centre on York’s Keele campus, beginning Nov. 24. Passes can be picked up during regular business hours or they can be mailed to a home or local address.

Metropasses that are lost (including those lost by Canada Post) or stolen cannot be replaced by the Parking & Transportation office. Replacements must be obtained through regular TTC outlets for the standard TTC price.

Applications for renewals of the December TTC Metropass through the new online service will be accepted on the following dates only:

  • Nov. 10-20, with pick-up from Parking & Transportation Services from Nov. 24.

Daily blood donor clinics begin Monday
Canadian Blood Services will hold a blood donor clinic daily in the East Bear Pit, Central Square, next week. Donors can visit from noon to 4pm, Monday to Thursday, and from 9:30am to 1:30pm on Friday. Also on Friday, students, faculty and staff can register with the Bone Marrow Registry.

GO bus stops to be relocated during landscape work
Landscape work on the north side of Accolade West, Burton Auditorium and Centre for Film & Theatre will begin Monday, weather permitting. The work will require a temporary relocation of GO Transit stops which will be coordinated through GO Transit. Facilities Services staff and the contractor will do their best to minimize disruption to customers and apologize for any inconvenience.
