Presidential search update

The Presidential Search Committee met with its consultants on June 20 to discuss the issues raised in the community consultation process and to plan for the next stage of the process – the focus on candidates – that will begin early in September.

The search has been advertised in:

Renew your TTC Metropass online

If you want to avoid the end-of-month lineups for the discounted TTC Metropass on campus, now is the time to renew online. You can apply online for your August Metropass July 8 to 16, and pick up from July 21. Click here and follow the instructions. York faculty, staff and students are eligible for a 12-per-cent discount on TTC Metropasses. They pay only $87 per month.

To renew your TTC Metropass online, you must:

  • be a current student, staff or faculty member of York University;
  • have purchased a TTC Metropass in person through Parking & Transportation Services and provided the appropriate identification within the 2005-2006 academic year;
  • use Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit card.

You can also purchase your August Metropass over the counter from Parking & Transportation Services, Room 0222, William Small Centre, July 27-31, August 1-2. Hours are 8:45am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Metropasses that are lost (including those lost by Canada Post) or stolen cannot be replaced by Parking & Transportation Services. Replacements must be obtained through regular TTC outlets for the standard TTC price.

Glendon-Keele Shuttle summer schedule

The Glendon-Keele Shuttle Service operates Monday through Friday (University closures excepted).

The travel time is approximately 30 minutes from either location. However, scheduled times may vary depending on weather or road conditions and are subject to change. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis for York community members only. Here is the summer schedule:

Mature students office open through the summer

The York University Mature Students' Organization will be open through the summer from May-July to provide mentoring and advice. Our office is located at 101E Vanier College. We will be open Monday-Thursday. Hours vary and are posted at: www.students.yorku.ca/~efenner/yumso.html
