Student leadership awards applications close April 13

The York University Student Centre and Centre for Student Community & Leadership Development have a shared goal of enhancing the quality of life at York. In order to facilitate and celebrate student leadership development, the Student Centre and Student Community & Leadership Development have joined forces to offer the following student awards:

• York University Student Centre Leadership Award for a graduating student who has shown commitment to the York community as a whole.
• York University Student Centre Leadership Award for a graduating student who has shown commitment to a local aspect of the York community (club, college, department).
• York University Student Centre Deborah Hobson Award for faculty or staff who are committed to enhancing the quality of life for students.
• Office of the VP Students’ Deborah Hobson Award for Student Leadership for upper level undergraduate students who have shown outstanding leadership ability and have made significant contributions towards promoting school spirit.

Each student leadership award winner will receive a plaque along with a $500 prize. Applications for the Student Centre awards are available online on the Student Centre Web site.

Applications for the VP Students Deborah Hobson award are available on the vice-president students Web site.
