York University is committed to providing University communicators with the materials, tools and guidelines necessary to promote the University in a consistent and professional manner. The following tools and resources are available to assist with communications:
- Graphic Standards: Guidelines for all communications vehicles including print, stationery, advertising, powerpoint, merchandise, etc. Also includes detailed information of how the logo must be used.
- Web Standards: Guidelines for websites or web pages that are housed on the York University website.
- Language Style Guide: Style guide for capitalization, abbreviation, punctuation, use of titles, non-sexist language and other issues of style come from a few sources. A modified Canadian Press (CP) style is used.
- Logos: Versions with and without tagline in horizontal and vertical format
- Templates: Templates for use throughout the university are available including stationery templates, powerpoint templates, email signatures, video intro/extro and the HTML website template. Passport York access is required to visit this section.
