York University Libraries host several initiatives to support York research:

The Scholarly Communications Committee organizes a speaker series that invites distinguished guests to discuss topics in scholarly publishing such as open access and copyright for authors. The committee also speaks to faculty and students on campus and hosts a website that provides links to helpful resources.

Open Journal Systems (OJS) software is a publishing platform for on line journals. The software manages journal publishing work flow such as submissions, peer-review, editing and layout. The York Digital Journals project team supports the hosting of York journals in the OJS environment and provides training and support in the use of the software to faculty and graduate students.

YorkSpace is York University's repository of research. This space enables faculty to post, organize, and preserve their research on line in an institutional context. A major strength of the repository is its standards-based architecture that facilitates preferential ranking of content in Google, facilitating increased visibility and impact of York research.
