In order to take full advantage of what the Astronomy Club has to offer, you need to have membership privileges. Membership costs $5 per school year and entitles you to the benefits below. General club meetings are held every other week (with the exception of holidays) on Wednesdays at 5:30pm. The locations the meetings are held will be announced closer to the date. You will receive a membership card upon buying membership. Membership cards are proof of membership and enable you to take advantage of the benefits provided.

If you do not wish to purchase membership you are entilted to attend meeting at no cost. However, the following nominal fees will apply:
Food and drink can be purchased for $2
Attendance to star parties costs $5 (first come first serve)
No priority seating to external events
There are many ways to purchase membership. The easiest is to attend a general meeting and buy membership there, this gives you the opportunity to see what the club is all about. You can also purchase membership from the club office during office hours, star parties and our kiosk at YorkFest. Membership costs $5 per school year. You must provide your name, student ID number and e-mail when buying membership. This is to ensure in the event the membership card is lost or stolen that you don't lose your membership privileges.
