WIDEN at Winters College (Workshops for Inter-Discipline Exchange & Novelty)

WIDEN (Workshops for Inter-Discipline Exchange and Novelty) aims to reveal the shared projects and symbiotic insights of graduate researches. Each WIDEN event consists of three to four 10- to 15-minute presentations of research on a common theme by graduate students working in three different disciplines, followed by a half-hour (or so) of discussion.
Prompting conversations among musicians and medical students, political scientists and architects, historians and zoologists, philosophers and physicists, WIDEN breaks down disciplinary walls and creates community, even as it celebrates the ingenuity of graduate student research.
