Back from the Field: Grad students’ experiences as researchers in Latin America & the Caribbean

In this symposium, York graduate students, fresh from their field, speak about part of their experiences researching in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Researchers choose research sites that may be far or near home in place or in world view. Our experiences in the field range from one-week site assessments to multi-year immersions in these environments. Nevertheless, at some point we all experience a sense of mystery, trepidation and excitement in the exploration of our field site.
