Research Week LA&PS | Up Close and Personal: Conversations on Different Research Journeys
Mar 14, 2012, 12pm-1:30pm
We have unique life stories, and we have our own reasons why we chose to become academics. In Up Close and Personal conversations, colleagues will share lessons learnt from setbacks and successes in their personal research journeys in conversations with Wade Rowland (communication studies). After the conversations, student researchers from the Student Council of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies will ask the scholars questions on what they would love to know but did not have the chance to ask before.
- "Vision and Mission of Universities", George Fallis (economics & social science)
- "Justice from the Eyes of a Scholar, a Historian and an Expert Witness", William Wicken (history)
- "From Action Research on Fair Trade to Investment in Fair Trade", Darryl Reed (social science) and Ananya Mukherjee-Reed (political science)
