A career conversation webinar with Natalie Angell-Besseling

Jun 26, 2012, 1pm-2pm

Interested in a career in international development? Wondering what it's like to get some field experience abroad? Get the inside scoop from a York alumna currently enjoying a career in the field.

During this online interview, Natalie Angell-Besseling will share her personal story and how her career path took her from graduation to starting up a non-profit organization that seeks to improve infant and maternal health, provide safe women-centered care, and support the well- being of birthing mothers and women living with HIV/AIDS in Uganda.

Angell-Besseling will answer questions about what skills, knowledge and experience have helped her enjoy a successful career in international development as the co-founder and executive director of The Shanti Uganda Society based out of Vancouver, British Columbia, and share tips for living and working internationally.

Angell-Besseling will also answer questions about her job and provide insight into the types of opportunities available within her field. This interactive webinar is a great way for you to connect with York alumni remotely. The webinar will be moderated by a Career Centre team member and students will be encouraged to type in their career questions on the chat forum.
