CineSiege 2012: Juried Showcase of York Film

Discover the next wave of Canadian film talent!
Now celebrating its 10th anniversary, CineSiege presents a collection of short films – riveting fiction, cutting-edge alternative works and provocative documentaries – selected by leading lights of the Canadian film and media scene.
Screening one night only, this juried showcase features the best productions of 2011-2012 by York University's talented young filmmakers, chosen from a shortlist of 19 nominees, culled from a total pool of 144 productions.

Jurors are:
- Karen Gordon, film reviewer for "Metro Morning" on CBC Radio One.
- experimental filmmaker Rick Hancox (Waterworx, Moose Jaw)
- iconic Canadian producer Robert Lantos (Barney’s Version, Eastern Promises)
- Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Patricia Rozema (I've Heard the Mermaids Singing, Six Gestures)
- Genie Award winning documentarian Alan Zweig (A Hard Name, I, Curmudgeon).
Jurors will be in attendance to introduce their picks.
