Exhibition - Lauren Orav: "Tethers"

Fourth-year visual arts student Lauren Orav presents Tethers, a photography and mixed media-based show addressing the complexity and fragility of familial and romantic relationships.
Combining portraiture, bookwork, sculpture and audio, the recurring themes in the work include memory, confession, desire and expectation. The gallery space will be darkened and transformed to evoke the experience of wandering through another person’s thoughts and memories. The artist’s intention is to demonstrate and celebrate the awkwardness and uncertainty of our closest personal relationships.
