Sustainable Energy Initiative Seminar Series: Ontario Sustainable Energy Policy-One Year Later

Oct 17, 2012, 10am-11:30am

Join York's Sustainable Energy Initiative (SEI) for a panel discussion on where we seem to be headed in a post-FIT review world. How do we deal with declining demand, potential for the expanded role for renewables (and conservation), competition for pieces of the demand pie, the state of the province's overall strategy with respect to the development of a renewable energy industry?

Panelists will include: Faculty of Environmental Studies (FES) Professor Mark Winfield, SEI co-chair; Marion Fraser, president of Fraser & Company; Adam White, president, Association of Major Power Consumers in Ontario; and Adam Scott, green energy program manager, Environmental Defence Canada. The panel session will be moderated by FES Professor José Etcheverry, SEI co-chair. Panel participants will discuss their take on the province's direction with respect to green energy policy (and electricity policy in general).

The event is free, but due to limited space, RSVP to tarob@yorku.ca.
