TA Workshop: So you Survived your First Few Weeks as a TA
Oct 30, 2012, 12pm-1:30pm
The purpose of this session is for TAs to come and share your stories with other TAs and learn from each other’s experiences. This session has been designed to facilitate dialogue and discussion about university teaching and learning; to promote collaborative problem-solving with other TAs across campus; and to receive support and advice on issues that are relative to your personal TAing experiences at York. This session invites all those who are TAing for a course (either for the first time or for those of you who are 'seasoned' and wish to engage with others). This will be an open forum as many of you have been expressing concerns on a variety of matters from working with a course director, roles and responsibilities of a TA, and assessment and evaluation. All are requested to bring questions, comments, concerns and worries. We're here to help make this a successful and positive experience for you!
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and space is limited. To register, visit the Teaching Commons website and fill in the form by Oct. 28.
