Norman Jewison Series: Alumna Janis Lundman in 'Life After York'

The Department of Film's Norman Jewison series welcomes Janice Lundman, executive producer of the popular television series, Bomb Girls, as part of the series Life After York, a platform for film alumni to share their success stories. Jumping Tracks, the first episode of Bomb Girls will be screened, to be follwed by a question and answer session.
Bomb Girls, a one hour series that tells the remarkable stories of the women who risked their lives in a World War II munitions factory, building bombs for the European front. The series premiered on Global TV in January, 2012 and was quickly renewed for a 12 episode second season that is currently in production and set to return on Global in early 2013.

Lundman has been producing quality, critically acclaimed film and television for over twenty-five years. As co-owner and executive producer of Back Alley Film Productions, Lundman has been responsible for creating, producing and financing numerous television drama series, documentary features and one-offs. These include the feature documentary Talk 16 and the dramatic series Straight Up, Drop the Beat and Bliss. Lundman also co-created and executive produced three seasons of the one-hour dramatic series Durham County, which to date has won eight Geminis and been nominated for 24.
Lundman serves as a member of the CMPA Board of Directors, iis active on the CMPA’s Regional Task Force and Canada Media Fund committees and is co-chair of the Quebec English Language Production Council (QEPC).
The Norman Jewison Series in York University's Department of Film is sponsored by the Norman and Margaret Jewison Charitable Foundation. The series features a wide variety of guests, including noted Canadian and international filmmakers, writers, film historians and theorists.
