Classrooms to Careers: Leaving the York Comfort Zone: What to Expect After Graduation
Oct 31, 2012, 1:30pm-3:30pm
With the countdown to graduation on, you may be curious and even a little anxious about what awaits you in “the real world”. You may have had some exposure through part-time or summer jobs, volunteer work, internships or extra-curricular activities, but moving out of the York comfort zone into your first full-time job, particularly one in your field, can be a very different and exciting experience.
Join York alumnus, Parwez Nejatie (BSc Chemistry, 2000), former Quality Specialist with GlaxoSmithKline and Eli Lilly for this Classrooms to Careers workshop and learn what to expect and how to make it in the real world, particularly in the competitive pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
This workshop is being offered as part of Classrooms to Careers, a new three-day workshop series being launched during Fall Co-Curricular Days (Wednesday October 31 - Friday November 2, 2012).
Registration is required. You may register for this event on the Career Centre's online system (you must sign up for an account before you will be able to register for any events on the system).
