SEI Seminar Series: Losing Our Touch

Ontario's Environmental Commissioner, Gord Miller, will be visiting the Faculty of Environmental Studies on Nov. 30, from 11:30am to 1:30pm, for the November Sustainable Energy Initiative Seminar Series event – "Losing Our Touch".
Miller will be discussing the newly released annual report titled, Losing Our Touch (2011-2012 Part 2), which will be followed by a Q&A session and light networking lunch. Miller was first sworn in as the environmental commissioner on Jan. 31, 2000 to oversee the continued implementation of the Environmental Bill of Rights (EBR). He has been re-appointed for his third term. As an independent officer appointed by the Legislative Assembly, Commissioner Miller oversees 14 ministries, monitoring and reporting annually on: government compliance with the provisions of the EBR, government progress on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and activities in Ontario to reduce the use or make more efficient use of electricity, natural gas, propane, oil and transportation fuels.
