York University Chapter of CCLA to host Panel Discussion on Refugee Rights

On Tuesday, Nov. 20, the York University chapter of the Canadian Civil Liberties Association will be hosting a discussion panel on refugee rights in Canada. Panellists will include: Sean Rehaag, a professor at Osgoode Hall Law School; Angus Grant, a PhD student at Osgoode Hall Law School; Noa Mendelsohn Aviv, director of the Canadian Civil Liberties Association’s Equality Program; James C. Simeon, a professor in the School of Public Policy & Administration, Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies and acting director at the Centre for Refugee Studies at York University; and Marc Yvan Valade, who has completed a master’s degree in public administration and specializes in strategic planning and organization/community development.
