Musical Theatre Workshop
Jan 30, 2014, 11am-2pm
Come out to the Musical Theatre Workshop hosted by Allison Leyton-Brown, a professional musical director, composer and pianist who teaches at NYU's TISCH School of the Arts.
Leyton-Brown has written countless original scores for theatre, dance, opera and film productions across the US and Canada. She composes regularly for various television programs, including "20/20", "The Good Wife", "Peg + Cat", "Primetime", "What Would You Do?", the Food Network, Lifetime and more. Her recent film credits include dramatic short The Bicycle, documentaries Rainy Season and Millions: A Lottery Story, and dramatic feature Dog’s Life. She is composer-in-residence for Archipelago Theatre, for which she has composed five scores, including the recent multimedia production The Narrowing. Leyton-Brown will be working exclusively with the first nine students who sign up for a one-on-one session, and anyone else who would like to attend and watch may do so.
