Vocal Masterclass with soprano Nathalie Paulin

Canadian soprano Nathalie Paulin leads a masterclass with young singers from the classical vocal performance studios of York faculty members Catherine Robbin, Stephanie Bogle, Norma Burrowes, Michael Donovan, Janet Obermeyer and Karen Rymal.
Winner of the Dora Mavor Moore Award for Outstanding Opera Performance, Paulin has collaborated with internationally renowned conductors including Sir Roger Norrington, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Andrew Parrott, Bernard Labadie, Graeme Jenkins, Andrew Litton and Yoav Talmi in both concert and opera.
Her credits incude the title roles in Pelléas et Mélisande (L’Opéra de Montréal), Semele (Chicago Opera Theater, Arizona Opera, Pacific Opera Victoria), Manon (Calgary Opera, Opéra de Québec, Opera Lyra Ottawa) and Rodelinda (Pacific Opera Victoria); Norina in Don Pasquale (L’Opéra de Montréal); Pamina in Die Zauberflöte (Vancouver Opera); Antonia in Les Contes d'Hoffmann and Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro (Cincinnati Opera); and Micaëla in Carmen (L’Opéra de Québec, Calgary Opera).
Other recent engagements included her debut with the Rotterdam Philharmonic in L'Enfant prodigue; Les Indes Galantes for Boston Baroque; Armide for Opera Lafayette in Washington DC and New York; Messiah with the Portland Symphony, Der Vapyr for the Lanaudiere Festival, and the Ukrainian Art Song Project.
