Exhibition - Joy Wong: "Dulce&Detritus"
Feb 17, 2014 to Feb 28, 2014
Dulce&Detritus is an exhibition featuring prints and paintings by Joy Wong. Juxtaposing images of saccharine and pretty confectioneries with the abject deconstruction of the body, the works take a 21st-century approach to the theme of 'memento mori'. Exploring decay and loss in both anatomical and culinary realms, Dulce&Detritus showcases artwork that presents the tension between morbidity and beauty.
