Talking Objects: The Emperor's Amphora

In this presentation, Professor Korrick will share her recent activity on the archaeological site at Monte Testaccio in Rome. There, she worked with a team from the University of Barcelona uncovering 1800-year-old fragments of amphorae (ceramic jars) used to transport olive oil to the city from Southern Spain and North Africa for distribution to the Roman emperor’s military troops.
