Community Safety Council Open Forum
Feb 11, 2014, 4pm-5:30pm
Save the date for a Community Safety Council (CSC) Open Forum to discuss student rights and responsibilities on Feb. 11 at 4pm.
The CSC has organized an open forum to discuss student rights and responsibilities. This will be an opportunity to become more familiar with the Student Code of Rights and Responsibilities and corresponding support services, mediation services available to community members as well as more information about how York University is working to foster a safer campus, including collaborative efforts with Toronto Police Services, 31 Division.
There will be three 15-minute presentations by the Office of Student Conflict and Resolution, Osgoode Mediation Services and Toronto Police Services, followed by a panel Q&A session. Various community partners will be in attendance to answer questions, including York Security, Centre for Human Rights, Counselling and Disability Services, Community Relations and CLASP. The open forum will also be an opportunity to encourage dialogue amongst the York community and discuss current challenges and opportunities regarding campus safety.
The meeting will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 11, from 4 to 5:30pm in 106 Life Sciences Building, located on the northwest corner of the Keele campus.
If you are unable to attend and would like to submit a question to the panellists, send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. To add this event to your calendar, visit the Community Safety Council Open Forum event page.
