York University Chamber and Concert Choirs perform Bach's St. John Passion

The York University Chamber and Concert Choirs perform J.S.Bach's magnificent oratorio, the St. John Passion BWV 245, with a professional orchestra.

Bach wrote this poignant, dramatic work for his first Good Friday Vespers in 1724 in Leipzig.

Featured soloists:
Nils Brown, tenor (The Evangelist)
Michael Donovan, baritone (Jesus)
John Holland, bass

Other solo roles are sung by advanced students from York's classical vocal performance program. Artists include Junie Baek, Lillian Brooks,  Charlotte Hodgkins, Nicole Malcolm, Daevyd Pepper, Floydd Ricketts, John Schneider abd Jonelle Sills.
