Law Through Film Series: 'Hot Coffee' (2011)

This documentary explores how the infamous McDonald's hot coffee lawsuit and similar cases were exploited as part of a right-wing crusade to weaken civil justice.
Launched in 2014, the Law Through Film Series aims to showcase the power of film to educate and articulate controversial legal issues. Each semester the series will feature four exceptional films that exhibit excellence in filmmaking and explore a broad spectrum of legal issues, from immigration to intellectual property. Following each screening, there will be an opportunity to discuss the film and its issues with the chair and other attendees.
