Theatre Glendon presents "WWI. (Re)Visions of the Aftermath"
Feb 26, 2014 to Mar 1, 2014
Theatre Glendon presents WWI. (Re)Visions of the Aftermath, directed by Aleksandar Lukač and written by the Approaches to Theatre class, nightly from Feb. 26 to March 1.
This interactive play imagines what the First World War looked like through the eyes of those involved as well how the current generation understands and interprets this historical event. This production incorporates stories of Gavrilo Princip, who assassinated Archduke Ferdinand, as well as those of soldiers and women affected by the war. What are the impacts of the war on us today? Who cares? Help define war through this interactive performance.
Before the show, visit the Facebook page and tweet @revisionsofww1 words, quotations and photos that represent war, and you might just see them in the show. Bring your smart phones and tablets to the performance as we collaboratively define and explore the First World War. Don’t live in Canada? Watch our live stream on Facebook and participate online.
Tickets are $10, or $5 for students. Arrive at least 15 minutes before the show. Tickets are available by visiting or calling the box office at 416-487-6822 or e-mailing Theatre@glendon.yorku.ca. Please note that we only accept cash at the box office.
