Cheryl Rainfield, Author, on Writing GLBTQ characters in YA Literature

Cheryl Rainfield is a writer of teen fiction. Her novel Scars (WestSide Books 2010) is a 2010 Governor General Literary Award finalist, #1 in ALA's Top 10 Quick Picks for Reluctant Readers and is on ALA's Rainbow List (LGBT recommended books). Rainfield’s most recent release, Stained, published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, is about a teen who must be the one to save herself after she's abducted.
