On Nov.12, 1996 the Third Annual LLB/ MBA alumni Mixer took place at the Downtown Management Centre, Ernst and Young tower.

John Bankes ('77) received the inaugural Distinguished Alumnus Award. Presentation was made by Osgoode Hall Law School Dean Marilyn Pilkington, and Deszö Horváth, Dean, Schulich School of Business. President Susan Mann also attended the event.

Eric Angelini, vice-president of alumni affairs for the LLB/MBA Students' Association, said he hoped the event will confirm the Mixer as a permanent annual event.

The LLB/MBA program at York was the first such program in Canada, beginning in 1972. The first class graduated in 1976. The program has continued to grow and expand during the past 25 years.

Angelini says the Students' Association is already hard at work on another annual event for the winter semester when the Association will host a special Business Law Conference and Workshop.
