On Thursday, May 20, alumni from the Ottawa-Hull area were hosted by the Ottawa Branch to a successful bowling and pizza night. The pins were flying and so were the good times as members took the opportunity to socialize, reminisce, and network about educational and occupational prospects in the region.

Vancouver Branch Seeks Support

Come out to the SOAR Beach BBQ, (Southern Ontario Alumni Reunion), Saturday, June 12 at beautiful Jericho Beach in Vancouver. York has decided to join other Southern Ontario universities hosting this annual event. Bring your friends and family for a fun day of food, sun, and catching up with fellow alumni living in the Vancouver area. TENNIS OPEN ALUMNI NIGHT

National Tennis Centre, York University

The York University Alumni Association, in conjunction with Tennis Canada, is pleased to offer all York Alumni a special evening of tennis at the 1999 du Maurier Open, Canada's international women's tennis championships.

Alumni Night includes: reserved group seating with your fellow alumni; access to Court 13 (a reserved outdoor patio); free parking and a complimentary souvenir magazine.

FRANCE ALUMNI EVENT

Friday, June 25

All alumni in France and the surrounding European countries are invited to Paris to enjoy a lunch graciously hosted by the Honorable George Vari and his wife, Mrs. Helen Vari, at their residence at 12:30 pm. Following lunch, His Excellency the Canadian Ambassador to France, Monsieur Jacques Roy will host a reception for the York University Alumni Association at 6:30 p.m. in his residence. The York University Alumni Association is most grateful to Mrs. Vari, who has been actively leading the organization of this event, and her husband, the Honorable George Vari, who are hosting the event.
