The 2019 Academic Conference on Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy will be held Friday and Saturday, June 7-8, 2019, at the Merril Collection of Science Fiction, Speculation and Fantasy, 239 College St., Toronto, Ontario. The library is in the Lillian H. Smith branch of the Toronto Public Library, one block east of Spadina. Our Author Keynote Address speaker will be award-winning short-story writer and novelist Kelly Robson, and our Scholar Keynote Address speaker will be Jean-Louis Trudel, who is an author and one of the leading experts on French-Canadian science fiction and fantasy. See the registration information below; to see the tentative program, click here .

McFarland has published the proceedings of selected papers from the 2005 to 2013 conferences, and The Canadian Fantastic in Focus: New Perspectives is available on McFarland's website here .
Copies of the proceedings of the 2003 conference are available from us, and copies will be on sale at the conference; please visit our Publications page for information. This volume features Margaret Atwood's keynote address plus the papers presented at the conference.  All proceeds from the sales go to support the conference, ensuring we can continue to present interesting speakers--both writers and scholars--and keep our registration fees as low as possible.
