class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Description<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Undergraduate students in three BES courses in the Faculty of Environmental Studies will learn about the songbird window collision problem, songbird migration and solutions through their collaboration to install window art, effective for reducing bird deaths, on a set of windows in the Health, Nursing and Environmental Studies (HNES) building:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ENVS 2122 <em>Community art for social change<\/em> students will work in groups to design Bird Friendly qualified window art using an eco-themed design, that tells the story of our native birds and their spectacular migration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ENVS 3140 <em>Environmental Sustainability and Education<\/em> students will undertake pre-installation and post- installation surveys to assess understandings and knowledge of the issue of bird window strikes and possible ways to reduce bird mortality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ENVS 1500 <em>Introduction to Environmental Science<\/em> students will collect data which compares the Bird Friendly art windows and Feather Friendly\u00ae treated windows to non-treated windows at HNES and adjacent buildings.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow
