York University is cancelling all in-person exams during the formal winter exam period of April 7-25, 2020. This decision aligns with the Government of Canada community-based measures and decisions made at other Ontario institutions to stop the community-based spread of the virus by restricting large gatherings.

This decision allows students to leave the University and travel home. All students will be provided with options so they can complete their courses without having to return to our campuses this academic term.

Details of this decision and further information will be forthcoming from the Provost and Deans regarding alternatives to all in-person exams as soon as possible.
