Graduate Students - UPDATE: Fall/Winter 2020-2021 course enrolment

We are following up on the email we sent you on April 20 about the Fall/Winter 2020-2021 academic year to commence in September.

Course enrolment
Every student is assigned a date and time when they can begin to access the registration and enrolment system to enrol in courses.

Course enrolment access dates and times for continuing students were originally scheduled to begin on a rolling basis on June 2; these will now begin on June 30.

We want to ensure you that there will not be any impact to your enrolment spot, as all enrolment windows will be shifted in accordance with enrolment scheduling guidelines at York.

We are working as quickly as possible to ensure a seamless enrolment process for you with a wide selection of courses, whether delivered wholly or partially through remote instruction.

When will you get a new window?
In the coming days, you will notice that your current window will no longer be available. We will follow up with you by email by May 18 to confirm that you may view your new enrolment access and time through My Online Services.

If you have questions, please be in touch with your program.

Staying engaged with your program & the York community
There are many ways you can interact with your peers and your program – from online receptions and webinars to video and chats and virtual shows.

  • Check the Faculty of Graduate Studies website, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram for information about grad studies.
  • Check out your Faculty websites and keep your eyes on your email and social media channels for event and engagement opportunities.
  • This Week @ York eNewsletter is crucial to staying on top of important dates, key events and other important goings-on in the York community each week. You can also follow @yorkustudents for student-focused information for current students.

International students: If you have questions about work permits, beginning online classes outside of Canada, immigration, UHIP and general international student wellbeing, please email iadvisor@yorku.ca.

Getting back onto our campuses
The return to in-person instruction will be guided by the health and safety of our community. Decisions will be based on the advice of public health authorities and the status of emergency orders by governments. As soon as it is safe to do so, we will resume in-person activities.

We’re looking forward to the start of the Fall term and hope that you are too.

Sincerely,

Darran A. Fernandez
