By now, you will have seen the good news about York’s plans for the Fall 2020 Term.

A big part of a university experience is living on-campus in residence with your peers.
The safety of our community members is paramount and re-opening our residences will occur in stages. We are planning on limiting capacity to residence space to half the spaces we normally assign. As well, all rooms will be single occupancy.

Are you planning to apply for a residence spot for fall 2020? If so, please complete the Housing Application form by May 27.

In light of capacity limitations, we have suspended the guarantee of a residence space offered to first-year student admitted to the Fall session directly from a high school who apply by the June 1, 2020 deadline.

We understand that not everyone will be able to make it to campus in the fall. Whether you join us on campus in residence or off campus from home, you will be connected to peers and peer mentors, your residence life team, academic advisors and other resources, supports and services to support your transition and prepare you for academic success.

Residence Life staff are committed to supporting students living in residence by creating a safe and healthy living and learning community that supports an academic lifestyle by meeting educational and social objectives. As well, all of our support services continue to be available to you.
